HOW WE DO IT
OUR EXPERT PROCESS
When you start your project with the IDS Team, you will be involved in every step of the process. From choosing sketches to approving colors, you’ll have multiple opportunities for approval along the way.
IDS will take care of your project from its inception to completion. Our seasoned project managers will diligently oversee the construction process, while our talented artists execute each phase with precision.
Once your decor is completed, it will be delivered securely packaged and prepared for installation by our team of skilled installers. They’ll handle all the heavy lifting, and you can focus on enjoying your amazing new dream office.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHILE WORKING WITH IDS KIDS
1. DISCOVERY & CONSULTATION
Everything begins with understanding the your goals, space, audience, and brand identity. Our Creative Consultants gather floor plans, photos, and measurements and discusses:
- Who uses the space (age group, patient type, etc.)
- Budget and timeline
- Theming goals — playful, calming, educational, or imaginative
- Practical considerations like traffic flow, cleaning, and safety regulations
This stage ensures we understands both the emotional and operational goals for the environment.
2. CONCEPT DESIGN
Our CAD department creates 3D room diagrams based on your floor plans. Then our designers create initial sketches to explore ideas, layout options, and overall atmosphere within the digital renderings.
You will then review concept sketches and approve a “Scope of Work” that includes:
- 2D drawings of characters within the space and sample 3D sculptural pieces
- Mural mockups
- Wall color paint palettes
- Materials including vinyl cushion colors and foliage type
- Storyline integration (for narrative-driven spaces)
3. DETAILED DESIGN & ENGINEERING
Once a concept is approved, IDS transitions into production-ready plans:
- 3D modeling, CAD drawings, and scale mockups
- Structural engineering and material selection
- Safety compliance, ADA accessibility, and installation logistics
This stage bridges artistry with precise fabrication requirements.
4. FABRICATION
In IDS’s in-house studio, artists and fabricators bring the concept to life using:
- Custom-sculpted foam with IDS’s proprietary protective coating
- Commercial-grade vinyl murals printed with UV-resistant inks
- Hand-painted finishes and durable materials
Every piece is hand-crafted, assembled, and quality-checked before shipping.
5. INSTALLATION
IDS coordinates with the your construction schedule and contractors to ensure we can fit smoothly into your build schedule.
- Detailed documentation and labeled components simplify on-site setup.
- IDS installers (or approved local partners) complete the install efficiently and safely.
- Final walkthroughs and signoff ensure every detail matches the approved design.
6. AFTERCARE & SUPPORT
Imagination Design Studios provides:
- A limited lifetime warranty
- Cleaning and maintenance guide
- Ongoing support for future phases or expansions
Our clients request matching add-ons or new features years later — designs are archived for easy updates.

OUR “WHY”
Our “Why” is a statement of purpose that describes why we do the work we do. It is our calling. It is our conviction.
Dave Nolan, the President of IDS, is a father of two sons, one of whom has autism. While navigating dental and medical appointments, he noticed the heightened stress and anxiety his son experienced when entering unfamiliar environments. This observation led him to wonder, “There must be a way to improve this experience for children in similar situations”.
At Imagination Design Studios, our “Why” is driven by our deep belief in the transformative power of positive, welcoming environments in a child’s development.

Imagination Design Studios has built a reputation for producing high-quality products, but did you know that our products are proudly made in the US and Canada?
All of our work is hand-sculpted and hand-painted from custom designs that are produced in-house, guaranteed with a limited lifetime warranty.
Our products are manufactured in our very own facilities located in Alberta and Florida. This means that we can maintain a superior level of quality while using materials that we know to be safe and durable. The safety and happiness of the children using our creations is our highest priority.
Our scrap Styrofoam is recycled and reformed into new foam blocks in an effort to be eco-friendly.
